A message from Alex and Brad

"Hello all,

I want to let you know we have secured an additional location in New Westminster for free practice for existing and past members with the consent of Sensei. It is primarily for people (like myself) who aren’t able to attend the Thursday UBC practice and those who otherwise aren’t able to practice regularly at either UBC or Marpole.

 

This isn’t a formal practice and it won’t have formal instruction.

 

This free practice is Thursdays 8:30pm to 9:45pm in Fitness Studio 2B təməsew ̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre - New Westminster, starting April 9th, 2026.

 

Conveniently, this is located half way between my house and Brad’s house and I hope to be there every week as it works a lot better for me with 3 young kids. It is important to the dojo that this does not detract from either UBC or Marpole formal practice and is not a replacement for formal instruction at our two core locations.

 

Alex and Brad are listed as the responsible parties and are in charge of this location if there are any questions or concerns.

 

To cover the cost of room rental and insurance, the drop-in cost per practice will be $15 payable to me (Alex)."
