Description
Practices held at the UBC location operate as a martial arts course offered by UBC REC. To join this practice, you have to register & pay fees to UBC. They take care of the facilities & insurance.
The instruction is separated into 3 sessions in a year. A session is equivalent to 1 school semester at UBC, Fall (Sep. to Dec), Winter (Jan. to Apr.), Spring & Summer (May to Aug.)
These practices are open to anyone. You do not need to be a student or staff of the University of British Columbia.
Fees and Registration
UBC Recreation Centre manages class registration and payment through its own system. Please go to https://recreation.ubc.ca/fitness-classes/martial-arts/ and navigate to Martial Arts > Iaido to confirm the class schedule, registration, and payment.
Free Trial
UBC Recreation Centre offers free drop-ins for the first week of class to allow interested participants to try out our iaido class. However, the registration is only open for 24 hours before the start of each class in the first week. Please go to https://recreation.ubc.ca/fitness-classes/martial-arts/ for registration and the free trial dates and class time.
